A Small History of the Porsche Cabriolet in the US

When Porsche designed the 911, no one doubted in the least that there should also be an open version of the 356 successor. After all, at the time of the development of the 911, the share of turnover generated by the convertible was around 17 percent. Porsche Museum Hosts Special Racing Exhibition "24 Hours for Eternity. Le Mans."

The Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is getting ready for the return to Le Mans with a comprehensive special exhibition from March 26 to July 13, 2014. Porsche is taking a look back, not only to its multiple previous successes at the French endurance race, but to the present-day Le Mans commitment for 2014. For the first time, the Porsche 919 Hybrid will be presented to the public at the Porsche Museum. The car celebrated its premiere only three weeks ago at the Geneva Motor Show.

Porsche Celebrates 50 Years of the 911 in 2013

The 911 turns 50! For Porsche, the 50th anniversary of this iconic sports car is the central theme of 2013. There will be a wide variety of anniversary events, starting with the "Retro Classics" automobile show in Stuttgart. From March 7-10 the Porsche Museum will ring in the anniversary year with four special exhibits: an early-model 911 Turbo Coupe, a 911 Cabriolet study from 1981, a 1997 street version 911 GT1 and the pre-series Type 754 T7. This chassis by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was a milestone on the way to the 911 design.
